Obituary of Paul Wesley Weatherington ~ 1996

HAMPTON - Paul Wesley Wetherington, 71, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1996. 
A native of Bayboro (Pamlico County), N.C., he had been a Peninsula 
resident for 50 years. He was retired.  
He was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church.   
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Opal E. Wetherington; son, James 
Wesley Wetherington; daughter, Joyce G. Banks; brothers, George 
Wetherington and Walter R. Wetherington; sister, Celia Johnson; 
grandchildren, Stacie, Jimmy, Terry, Angie, Benny and Jerry; step-
grandchildren, Kris, Jeremy, Alicia and Amanda; great-grandchildren, 
Zachary, Sheri, Wade, DaNae, Christopher, Cody, Brittney and Alexis; and 
step-great-grandchildren, Keith, Megan and Jamie.  
A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence B. Wood 
Funeral Home Chapel. Officiant is the Rev. F. W. Giessler. 
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive 
friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.   
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Riverside Hospice Care.
