DAYTONA BEACH - Peggy Sue Horton, 63, of Hobart Street, a former word p
rocessor control and police officer for New York City, died Friday at 
Halifax Medical Center.  
Mrs. Horton was born in Kershaw, N.C., and lived in Daytona Beach before 
moving to Brooklyn, N.Y. She returned here last year. She also had worked 
in real estate. She enjoyed reading and writing.  
Survivors include her husband, Richard Hardy, Brooklyn; five sons, Elroy 
Horton, Holly Hill, Kenneth Lee and Marty Horton, both of Daytona Beach, 
Alfred Lee, Killeen, Texas, and Wilson Horton, Brooklyn; two daughters, 
Sally Horton, Daytona Beach, and Nancy Horton, Pittsburgh; her parents, 
Levi Fisher, North Carolina, and Mary Shropshire, Daytona Beach; eight 
brothers, James Shropshire, Holly Hill, Henry, Nathaniel, Jessie, Woodrow, 
Charles and Michael Shropshire, all of Daytona Beach, and Leroy Shropshire,
Orlando; three sisters, Barbara Williams, Daytona Beach, Glendora Shepard, 
Holly Hill, and Betty Shropshire, Charlotte, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 
seven great-grandchildren. Gainous is in charge.
