NEW BERN - Peggy Ann Clark Smith, 64, of 107 Theodore Lane, New Bern, died 
Thursday, January 20, 2011 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.  
She was born in Aurora and was formerly employed in the Maintenance 
Department of Texas Gulf and Craven Regional Hospital.  
Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon, Tuesday at St. Hooker M. B. 
Church with the Rev. Cecil Brown and Rev. Virginia Smith officiating. 
Burial follows in Whitehurst Creek Cemetery.  
She is survived by her son, James E. Clark of Greensboro and daughter, 
Brenda Liverman of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Chester Acklin of 
Missouri, Hal Alfred Clark of New York, Willie Clark, Jr. of Washington, 
Curtis Lee Clark of New York, N.Y., Tommy Redell Clark of Washington; 
sisters, Beulah Mae O'Neal, New York, N.Y., Delores Clark of Aurora and 
Patricia Ann Bryant of Aurora; and four grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence of her sister, Patricia 
Bryant, at  4709 Mary's Chapel Rd., Aurora. Viewing will be at Oscar's 
Mortuary from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and at the church an hour prior to 
the service.
