Obituary of Rachel Deliah Fenner Hackney ~ 2010

ARAPAPHOE - Rachel Deliah Fenner Hackney, 86, of 313 Taylor Neck Road, 
Arapahoe, died  Saturday, April 3, 2010 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.  
She was a native of the Harlowe Community of Havelock and resided in 
Arapahoe for over 50 years. She was a member of Small Chapel Christian 
Church and served as a Mother of the church. She was employed with Garland 
Fulcher Seafood as a seafood processor for many years.  
Her funeral will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Small Chapel 
Christian Church with the Rev. Roderick Kornegay officiating. The burial 
will be in Piney Grove AME Zion Church Cemetery.  
She is survived by her three sons, John Hackney of Arapahoe, Henry Hackney 
Jr. of New Bern, and Willie Guy Hackney of Raleigh; six grandchildren; and 
five great-grandchildren.  
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing will be from 3 to
6 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary.
