Ralph Woodrow Armstrong, Jr., 60, as he was known by all, died Thursday, 
March 25 at Craven Regional Medical Center. A funeral service was held 
Monday, March 29 at 11 am in Celestial Memorial Garden at Cash Corner with 
the Rev. Murray Sadler officiating.  Jr. was a native of Pamlico County 
and lived in the Maribel community his whole life where his love for the 
water led him to be a commercial fisherman. Jr. was a loving husband, 
father, granddaddy, brother and friend to everyone he knew.  Jr. was 
preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Pearl Armstrong.  Jr. is 
survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia "Pat" Lupton Armstrong of 
Maribel; three sons, Randy Armstrong and wife, Kathy, Stanley Armstrong 
and wife, Angela, all of West Virginia, and Ricky Armstrong and companion, 
Debbie of Maribel; one daughter, Tina Armstrong and fiancee, Shane 
Yliniemi, of Maribel; three brothers, Ray Armstrong of Reelsboro, David 
Armstrong of Grantsboro and Eddie Armstrong of New Bern; one sister, 
Barbara Cousins of Grantsboro; 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Robbie, Heather, 
Randy Jr., Natasha, Rebecca, Stanley "Jr.," Chris, Susan, Brandon and 
"Rick-Rick."
