MESIC - Ralph O'Neal Sr., 76, of 399 Park Ave., died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010,
at his residence.
He was a native of Mesic and was employed at the Marine Corps Exchange of 
Cherry Point, North Carolina, for 43 years. He served on the Trustee Board 
of Mount Olive M.B. Church and was a member of the Laymen's Choir.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Olive M.B. Church, with the 
Rev. C. L. Felton, pastor, and the Rev. Melvin Walker, eulogist. The 
interment will be in the Credle Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Marie Credle O'Neal of the 
home; two sons, Daniel O'Neal of Raleigh and Ralph O'Neal Jr. of New Bern; 
seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing will be from 9 
a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary and at the church Friday one 
hour prior to the service.
