Ralph Clinton Winstead, Sr., 87, of Havelock died July 27 at CarolinaEast 
Medical Center. 
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Winstead; son, David H. 
Winstead; two daughters, Brenda Hale and Phyllis Ormond; four brothers, 
Tom, Sidney, Howard and Leon Winstead; sister, Carolyn Davis; 11 
grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. 
A funeral service was held July 31 at Trent Free Will Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Graham Lane officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites by Bayboro 
Lodge #331 followed in the church cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to 
The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 
27565.
