MERRITT - Richard E. Flowers, 74, and his wife of 48 years, Rosa G. 
Flowers, 66, were both murdered Monday, January 13, 2003 at their residence.  
Mr. and Mrs. Flowers were both members of Vandemere United Methodist 
Church.  
Mr. Flowers was President of the family business, Custom Steel Boats, Inc. 
and Mrs. Flowers was Secretary-Treasurer.
She had retired from Sears.
The pallbearers for Mr. Flowers will be Chris Lupton, Tommy Fulcher, Riley 
Dixon, Pete Bland, Maurice Benton, and Bill Potter.  
The pallbearers for Mrs. Flowers will be Clayton Gilpin, Tim Woods, Scott 
Fitzgerald, Thomas Willis, Ken Dixon, and Brian Rawleigh.  
They are survived by one son, Rodney Flowers and his wife, Mitzie, of New 
Bern; one daughter, Teresa Flowers-Tingle, and her husband, Jimmy, of 
Merritt; and two grandchildren, Sean P. Flowers and Kaitlyn G. Flowers.  
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church 
with Rev. Mike Roach officiating.
Burial will be in Greenleaf Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bryant 
Funeral and other times at the home of their daughter and Custom Steel 
Boats.
