Obituary of Robert James Arniotes ~ 2010

Robert James “Greek” Arniotes, 75, of Oriental, passed away April 10, 2010 
at home. 
He was born on March 15, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to James and Jane Arniotes. 
He graduated from Mitchell Junior College in 1962. From 1963-1966 he 
attended East Carolina University where he was a member of Lambda Chi 
Alpha Fraternity. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Bob 
worked as a Cartographer for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency 
in Bethesda, Maryland for 20 years and later moved to Oriental where he 
became an avid sports fisherman and naturalist. 
He is survived by one brother, Jimmy Arniotes of East Elmhurst, NY; his 
cousin Theresa M. Dikomeit of The Villages, FL; and his nieces and nephews.
Bob is also survived by his life long friends. 
Funeral services were held April 19 at Bob’s home with Father Paul Mizener 
from St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church officiating.
