Obituary of Robert Dalton Walker ~ 2008

AURORA - Robert Dalton Walker, 81, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at 
Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern.  
He is preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Rufus H. Walker and Edna 
Walker, and one brother, R.H. Walker Jr.  
He is survived by his wife, Robena Midgett Walker, whom he married on 
January 24, 1948; three daughters, Yvonne Swain and husband, John, of 
Chesapeake, Va., and Avonne Quinn and husband, Robert, and Patty Davis 
and husband, Skip, of Aurora; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; 
and two brothers, Thomas Walker and Webster Walker, both of Aurora.  
He was a member and elder of Mary's Chapel Christian Church, active member
of the Gideons and was a retired PCS timberland supervisor.  
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 23, at 
Bryant Funeral Home of Alliance.  
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mary's Chapel Christian 
Church with the Rev. Mike Oliver and grandson, the Rev. Jeff Swain, 
officiating.  
Burial will follow at Walls-Rowe Cemetery on Walls Mill Road.
