FLORENCE - Rosa Lee Fulcher Rice, 92, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 
Britthaven of Pamlico.  
Mrs. Rice was born in Pamlico County. She was a devoted wife and mother 
and friend to all. Her life was devoted with unconditional love of family. 
She provided lifelong care in the family home for her three daughters, 
Lena Gray Rice, Helen Louis Rice and Nellie Ann Rice, who preceded her in 
death. 
A graveside service was held Sunday, March 28 at 3:30 pm in the Rice 
Cemetery in Florence, NC with the Rev. Robert Cayton officiating.  
Mrs. Rice was predeceased in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth 
Fulcher and husband, Emmitt C. Rice.  She is survived by her daughter, 
Mary Rice Banks, and son-in-law, Dewey I., of Florence; son, Emmitt C. 
Rice, Jr. of Bayboro; sister, Melba G. Wiggins, and husband, Kenneth, of 
Greenville; brother, Willie B. Fulcher, and wife, Lucy, of Tarboro; six 
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  
The family received friends immediately following the service.
