ORIENTAL - Ruby Mae Fulcher Gibbs, 87, 1442 Silverbrook Road, died 
Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.  
She was a graduate of Pamlico County Training School and later graduated 
from Cosmetology School. She was the owner/operator of Ruby's Beauty Nook.
Her funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the New Bern 
Eastern M.B. Association Headquarters, 885 N.C. 306 North, Grantsboro with 
the Rev. Clifton Hunt, pastor. 
Burial will follow in the Odd Fellow Cemetery.  
She is survived by her four sons, Leon H. Gibbs of New Haven, Conn., 
Venice Ray Gibbs of Raleigh, Darrell C. Gibbs of Laurel, Md. and Randy L. 
Gibbs of Oriental; two daughters, Carolyn Fulcher Jarvis of Boston, Mass. 
and Jacqueline G. Matthews of Laurel, Md.; 11 grandchildren; 20 
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  
The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing hours will be 
from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary, Inc.
