Obituary of Sadie Nancy Simmons Jones ~ 2011

Sadie Nancy Simmons Jones, 86, formerly of 333 Jones Road, Vandemere, died 
on Monday at her residence, 9 Griggs Road, Vandemere.  
She had been an active member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church for 
over 50 years where she served on the Mother Board, Usher Board and 
President of the Ladies Auxiallary. 
She was a member of the Pamlico County Missionary Society and employed 
with Hudson Manufacturing Company as an in-home care aide.  
Survivors include a son, George Jones; two daughters, Apriel Smith of 
Edison, N.J. and Deborah Ross of the home; and a host of grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren.  
The family will be receiving their friends and guest at 9 Griggs Road, 
Vandemere.  The funeral will be held at noon Friday in the St. Peter 
Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. F.L. Hyman, Pastor, officiating. 
Interment will immediately follow the service in Hudnell Cemetery.
