Obituary of Sarah Veleria Spain Watson ~ 2010

Sarah Veleria Spain Watson, 95, departed this life on December 15, 2010 to
be with her Lord and family who preceded her in death.
She married Wilbur Watson of Lowland, in March of 1936 who predeceased her
in 1992.
She was a lifelong resident of Goose Creek Island, NC, first with her
parents in Hobucken then after marriage moved with her husband to Lowland.
In 2005, she moved to the home place in New Bern, in 2009, she moved to
Autumn Care Nursing Home in Nashville, NC.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Watson Phillips and husband,
Roger, of Nashville, NC and Sara Watson of Cedar Point, NC.
She is also survived by two grandsons, Michael Phillips with wife, Angela
Phillips of Nashville and Jeffery Phillips of Raleigh; and three great-
grandchildren, Ryan, Bradley and Sarah Phillips, all of Nashville.
She has three surviving siblings, Odell Spain of Arapahoe, Jane Parks and
Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Brinson, both of New Bern.
She was predeceased by five siblings, Esther Lupton of Lowland, Willa Dean
Gaskill of New Bern, Eunice Machinshok, and Charles Spain, both of
Hobucken, and Thomas Spain of Reelsboro.
Her service will be held on Saturday, December 18 at 11 a.m. by Norman
Miller, pastor of Lowland Church of Christ, at Bryant Funeral Home. The
family will receive friends following the service.
