GRANTSBORO - Sybil Lee Hooker Dixon, 77, of Grantsboro died Sunday, Nov. 
9, 2008, at Britthaven of Pamlico.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Bryan Dixon.  
She is survived by three sons, Roger Young Dixon and wife, Holly, of New 
Orleans, La., William Bryan Dixon and wife, Lorna, of Morehead City and 
Eddie Lee Dixon and wife, Sherry, of Grantsboro; two brothers, Edward 
Hooker of Grantsboro and Richard Hooker of San Antonio, Texas; four 
sisters, Nina Simpson of Grantsboro, Mary Broadway of New Bern, Lois 
Everington of Kinston and Helen Barbee of Jones County; seven 
grandchildren, Belinda Beeck, Curge Click and Lisa Gibson, William Bryan 
Dixon Jr., Christopher Thomas Dixon, Shane Dixon and Stacy Watson; and 
five great-grandchildren, William Bryan Dixon III, Sara Roman Gibson, 
Madison Gibson, Andreas Beeck and Rylie Watson.  
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Caton 
Cemetery with the Rev. David Bruce officiating.  
The family will receive friends at the home, 266 S. Goose Creek Road., 
Grantsboro, NC 28529. Arrangements by Bryant Funeral Home & Cremations, 
Alliance.
