Obituary of Sylvester Leon Miller ~ 2011

BAYBORO - Sylvester Leon Miller, 54, died on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 
the CarolinaEast Medical Center, New Bern. 
He was a graduate of Pamlico Central School Class of 1976. He was a 
veteran of the United States Army and a member of Antioch Church of 
Christ. He was previously employed with the National Zoo and the 
Maintenance Department of the F.D.I.C., both located in Washington, D.C.  
He is survived by one daughter, Candance Miller of Temple Hills, Md.; two 
brothers, Milton Miller of New York and Claude Miller of Bayboro; two 
sisters, Florence Benjamin of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Debra Malik of Temple 
Hills, Md.; and his stepmother, Doris Miller of Bayboro. 
Viewing will be held today at the church one hour prior to the service. 
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the Antioch Church of Christ with 
the Rev. Genard Sawyer, pastor, officiating. Interment with military 
honors will immediately follow the service in Hudnell Cemetery.
