Obituary of Verdie Mae Jones ~ 1999

Verdie Mae Jones, age 87, of Signal Mountain, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 
formerly of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away Wednesday evening, 
May 19, 1999. 
Mrs. Jones was born December 23, 1911 in Pamlico County, North Carolina, 
daughter of the late David Jackson Salter and Sara Elizabeth Clark Salter. 
She was a former member of Northwood Baptist Church of West Palm Beach. 
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Jones, of 
61 years on June 11, 1992.  
Mrs. Jones leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted children, Joy Jones 
Faller of Signal Mountain, Tenn., William Henry Jones III of Morehead 
City, N.C.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  
Graveside Services will be held 10 A.M. Monday May 24, 1999 at Hillcrest
Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, Fla.
