Obituary of Verna Raye Johnson Hickman ~ 2011

MERRITT - Verna Raye Johnson Hickman, 53, died Monday, March 7, 2011, at 
home.  She was a member of Trent Free Will Baptist Church.  
She is survived by two daughters, Elven Marie Johnson of Fremont, Calif., 
and Alivia Rose Marie Johnson-Hickman of the home; her father, William 
Vernon Johnson Jr. of Newport News, Va.; two brothers, William Vernon 
Johnson of Newport News, Va. and Luther Johnson of Chesapeake, Va.; and 
one sister, Clarene Atchley of Westwego, La.  
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 10, at Trent Free 
Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Lane officiating. Interment will 
follow in Bridgeton cemetery.  
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night, at
Bryant Funeral Home.
