Victor Bernard Kropaczek, 86, of Grantsboro died, Wednesday, March 24 at 
home. 
He was a United States Marine and was a veteran of WWII and served in the 
Pacific Islands. He retired from the Civil Service then worked as a 
security guard at CarolinaEast Medical Center. He attended Amity Christian 
Church. 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helen Kropaczek. 
He is survived by his daughters, Mary C. Kropaczek of the home and Vicki 
K. Vann and husband, Russell, of Clayton; one brother, Charles Roberts and 
wife, Winnie, of Tennessee; two sisters, Pauline Lahita and Mary Zawislak 
both of New Jersey; and three sister-in-laws, Carol R. Daniels and 
husband, Vernon, of Merritt, Kathy Kropaczek of New Jersey and Margie Rice 
of New Bern. 
A funeral service was held March 29 at Amity Christian Church with the 
Rev. Lynn Maxwell and Rev. Dave Shelton officiating. Burial with military 
rites followed in Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family received friends 
March 28 at Bryant Funeral Home.
