Obituary of Viola Mann Wallace ~ 2008

ORIENTAL - Viola Mann Wallace, 89, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Two 
Rivers Healthcare-Neuse Campus.  
She was a former Sunday school teacher, president of the youth and senior 
choirs, deaconess and class leader at Holt's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. 
As a member of the North Carolina Conference, she served as a missionary 
officer of the Beaufort District for 23 years. She was coordinator of the 
Pamlico County Senior Citizens Gardening, Sewing, and Craft classes during 
the coastal progress years.  
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Holt's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 
with the Rev. J. L. Walton officiating.  
Burial will be in St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  
She is survived by two daughters, Pecolia H. Girardeau of Oriental and 
Marion Robinson; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-
great-grandchild.  
The family will receive friends at her daughter's residence, 1202 Janiero 
Road, Oriental.  
A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Oscar's Mortuary.  
Arrangements are by Oscar's Mortuary.
