AURORA - Walter C. Corley, 88, of 1354 Bergia Road, died Tuesday, July 8 at
Britthaven of Pamlico in Alliance. 
A funeral service was held Friday, July 11, 10:30 am, at St. Paul’s 
Catholic Church with Father Ernest Ruede officiating with entombment in 
Greenleaf Memorial Park.  
He was in the US Army, worked for the State of New Jersey, was a member of 
the VFW, American Legion, Order of the Elks and a member of St. Paul’s 
Church.  
He is survived by his wife, Rita Galland-Corley; one son, John Kevin Corley
of Oregon; one daughter, Mary Beth Corley of New Jersey; sister, Anna 
Oswald of New Jersey; step-children, Carol Phillips of Blounts Creek, 
Clare Carter and Paul Galland, both of Aurora; five grandchildren; and two 
step-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Hans.
