ORIENTAL - Walter James Jones, 72, of 1192 Pamlico Road in Oriental died 
Wednesday, June 25 at his residence. 
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, 2 pm, at Galilee 
United Church of Christ with the Rev. James M. Ingram, pastor, officiating 
with burial to follow in the Hall Cemetery in Oriental.  
He was a member of Galilee United Church of Christ and was on the Deacon 
Board and Ways and Means committee.  
He is survived by one son, Jimmy Lee Black of Fort Meyers, FL; three 
daughters, Catherine Jones, Patricia Jones and June Jones, all of Trenton, 
NJ; three brothers, Alexander Jones of the home, Allen Jones of Texas and 
Earnest Jones of Trenton, NJ; two sisters, Lena Bell McNeil of Albany, NY 
and Annie Ruth Simons of the home; and nine grandchildren.
