William "Bill" Bartling Gooding Jr., 69, of Reelsboro died Friday, December
19, 2008, at home.  
He received his mechanical engineering degree from the University of South 
Carolina. He was a naval pilot. He retired from PCS Phosphate.  
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Gooding; three sons, Wm. 
"Bill" Bartling Gooding III of Maui, Hawaii, David Charles Gooding of 
Asheville and Paul Scott Gooding of Pamlico; one brother, Grant Gooding of 
Diamond Head, Mississippi; and three grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Gooding, 
Andria Lynn Gooding and Elana Pearl Gooding.  
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, at Bryant 
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Wolk officiating. Interment will 
follow immediately in Oriental Cemetery.  
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the 
funeral home.
