BAYBORO - William Wade Leary, 71, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Aug.
15, 2007, at Craven Regional Medical Center. 
Born June 25, 1936, he was a native of Lowland, He had been a Navy man, a 
boilermaker and a security guard, and retired in 1998.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Hazel Leary, son, Jack, 
and nephew C.B.  
He is survived by his loving daughter, Cynthia Sawyer of New Bern; 
granddaughter, Crystal Ludvigsen and husband, Daniel, of Merritt; three 
sisters, Mary A. Spain of Palm Beach, Fla., Faye May of Princeton, W.Va., 
and Saundra Futrell and husband, Clydem of Nags Head; former wife, Shirley 
Kennedy of Concord, and many nieces and nephews.  
He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends. He was 
loved by all who met him.  
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Rev. Dwayne Boyd officiating. Burial will be in New Bethlehem Free 
Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  
The family will receive friends at Bryant Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. 
Friday.
