Obituary of Willie Miller Barnes ~ 2006

ORIENTAL - Willie Miller Barnes, 66, of 589 Styron Town Beach Road, died 
Monday, March 13, 2006, at her residence.  
She was a 1957 graduate of Pamlico County Training School. She was retired 
from Creedmoor State Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a lifetime member 
of St. Stephen M.B. Church.  
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephen M.B. Church, Oriental with 
the Rev. Serinus G. Willis Sr. officiating.  
Burial will be in the Styron Family Cemetery.  
She is survived by one son, Kyle Barnes of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, 
Dwayne Miller of Bayboro and Reginald Hodges of Raleigh; two sisters, 
Connie Jones of Doylestown, Pa., and Virginia Miller Foy of the home; and 
two grandchildren.  The family will receive friends at the residence.  
Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at Oscar’s Mortuary, New Bern, 
and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
