NEW BERN - Willie Marie Garrison Credle, 84, of 3027 Madison Ave., died
Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Two Rivers Healthcare-Trent Campus.
She was a native of Pamlico County and resided in Red Bank, N.J., prior to
retirement. She was a Deaconess at Mt. Calvary M.B. Church and was
involved in the Feed My Sheep program.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Bern Eastern M. B.
Association Headquarters, 885 N.C. 306, Grantsboro, with the Rev. Tony
Credle officiating and the Rev. Lawrence B. Kelsey Sr., eulogist.
The interment will be in the Credle Family Cemetery, Mesic.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Homer Credle Jr. of the home;
four sons, Homer Credle III, James Albert Credle, and Calvin Lee Credle,
all of Neptune, N.J., and T. Kenneth Credle of Trenton; two daughters,
Wilhelmina D. Vaughn of Tinton Falls, N.J., and Sandra C. Walker of New
Bern; three brothers, Jesse Lee Garrison of Red Bank, N.J., Charles
Garrison of Neptune, N.J., and Phillip Garrison of Indianapolis, Ind.;
four sisters, Mary Boynton of Red Bank, N.J., Eva Davis of Kinston,
Catherine Hamilton of Staunton, Va., and Annie Bowden of Mt. Gilead; 15
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends at Oscar's Mortuary from 7 to 8 p.m.
tonight and other times at the residence.
